About Us

Welcome to Midreshet Hannaton, the Hannaton Educational Center for Jewish Leadership and learning, in the heart of the Galilee.

Hannaton Educational Center was founded by Kibbutz Hannaton with the Conservative (Masorti) movement, and we now operate independently, serving Israeli society and the global Jewish community. 

Our goal is to create an Israeli society that is inclusive of traditional Jewish, pluralistic, and humanistic perspectives. As such, we are committed to nurturing Zionist-Humanistic leadership that has room for all the nuances of a Jewish-Israeli identity — as individuals, as a society, and as a democratic state. 

We see ourselves as a link in the chain of Jewish creativity that has been renewed in the Galilee after a thousand years. It is a setting that never fails to inspire us to unite with our Galilean neighbors, of many backgrounds, religions and cultures, to effect change.
